Early Birthday Present

Holan found this light for Steve for his Birthday. Since we are leaving for New York and the Southern Caribbean Cruise two days before his birthday she decided to give it to him early. On the box it said “Shower your home with thousands of dazzling lights with the Star Shower laser light! The plug-in […]

Black-eye Susans and Rain

We have had 5.32 inches of rain so far in July. It’s been a very wet summer. We had just come out of a drought last summer so guess the good Lord thought we needed lots of rain. Anyway, all the plants are growing so well. The Black-eye Susans are over populating and the grasses […]

LR & DR

I don’t know why I took these photos but thought I would just post them.

Over the Years

When we purchased the house in June 1992, there was a small tree in the front yard. This is what the front yard looked like in the spring of 1993. As the years passed, the little tree grew, by 1997 the tree was getting large. We’ve now been in the house for 22 years. We […]

Steve had thought it was warm enough to start-up the fountains but it wasn’t when the night temps dropped to almost 32 degrees.

Invasion of the Birds

This morning all these birds came flying into the front yard. It looked like a scene from the movie “The Birds.” The miniature apples from our “Adirondack” crap apple tree were ripe and following from the tree. The birds also come to eat the apples about this time. As the weeks pass, the fruit from […]

Paving our court

They decided our court need to be resurface. The guys arrived and starting putting this strange stuff down. They got it spread out but it was a smooth surface. The information sheet said it would take a couple of months for it to cure. Meanwhile, we couldn’t drive on it for several hours.

The Bridge To No Where

For my birthday the kids gave me this very large picture Steve and I found at Ikea in MN when we were there for Spring Break. We thought it was a very peaceful picture that would look nice on the back porch. Fred and Steve pulled it out of it’s round tub and started to […]
