We took a bartending class downtown Kansas City MO at the Professional Bartending Schools of America. We are holding our Mojitos. A mojito is a cocktail that consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime juice, sparkling water and mint.
The bar station had three compartment sinks, stainless steel ice bins, Wunderbar soda gun and liquor speed racks. We had time behind the bar to practice pouring shots without using a shot glass.
Holan was having just a little too much fun!
Holan and Kristie are tasting the drinks from the cascading bar trick Kristie tried to do. She wasn’t given very clear instructions by Beth, our instructor, so it didn’t work out too well.
After watching Kristie Holan tried it and is part of this video.

This is Kristie doing a shot with no hands.
This shot is the American Flag until you light it on fire then it becomes a Patriot Missile – because we don’t burn the American Flag!
Steve drinking the shot…..a thank you for his service to our country.
This is Dee’s Black ‘N Tan Beer she poured
Dee and Holan enjoyed the Chocolate Mint Martini.
We learned the “proper†way to shake a drink.
Holan getting ready to make the perfect Long Island Ice Tea.
Steve enjoyed the beer more than the mixed drinks.
Kristie using a lighter and the end of a lemon to extract the lemon oil to infuse water. This can also be used on oranges also. It was amazing how this worked.
