The cabins on the Star were more spacious than some we have been in and lots of storage space. The shower was larger than most and enclosed by a sliding door. Water on the floor was never a problem. The toilet was on the other side and also enclosed by a sliding door. Towels were changed constantly even though we had hung them up and would have used them again. Linens were changed daily as well. The safe in the cabin was easy to operate and a nice thing to have since you do not want to carry your valuables with you all the time.
We like having a cabin with a balcony and we like having the doors between the cabins open so we can visit back and forth during the cruise.
 
As we are enjoying our balcony, we have a front row seat to dock and all the activity going on getting us ready to get under way. The fork lift is taking the luggage from the pier to the ship.
Then is was time to do the muster drill. Our designated muster station is printed on the room key so along with the other 2,200 people we are off to locate our station. Crew members are located at the stairway and hallways to help you. The Emergency Drill is conducted just before sailing was not only required but absolutely necessary should an emergency at sea arise.
